What do chickens need to be happy?
Sufficient space, healthy feed, occupation, a good stable climate, a quiet nesting place, fresh water and the opportunity to scratch and peck for all they're worth. This and much more is what we offer our hens and roosters on the Schlattgut.
Our chickens can move freely in the hen house and in the winter garden with the sand belts and the straw run. Weather permitting, they have access to the chickens' run and the meadow. The chickens can bathe and groom themselves in the sand baths provided. The winter garden and the meadow offer the chickens variety. Here they can scratch and peck as much as they like. In addition to the roosters, the modern underfloor heating and the sophisticated ventilation system ensure a good indoor climate.

It fills us with pride that we are also able to supply our eggs to the Honold confectionery, the Lehmann butcher's shop as well as to the Restaurant Rössli in Herrliberg and to the hotels and restaurants of The Living Cirlce.
These include the Restaurant Buech, the Storchen Zürich and the Widder Hotel as well as the Hotel Alex Lake Zürich.

In agriculture, it is essential to think in cycles and to follow them. This is evident in fodder cultivation as well as in manure management, but also at the end of the life cycle of our chickens. Here, too, it is important for us to consciously close the circle.
